Snohomish County deputies have arrested Bryan Waltner, a 58-year-old man, in connection with a shooting on Christmas Day in Gold Bar, Washington. The incident, described as an isolated altercation, has drawn attention to firearm-related violence and public safety concerns.
Christmas Day Shooting in Gold Bar: What Happened?
The shooting occurred early on Christmas morning, around 1:40 a.m., on Croft Avenue in Gold Bar. Authorities report that an argument over a stolen phone escalated between Bryan Waltner and a 48-year-old man. During the confrontation, Waltner allegedly shot the victim, who was later transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett for treatment.
Swift Action by Snohomish County Deputies
Following the incident, Waltner fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after with the help of Snohomish County deputies and a K9 unit. He is currently being held on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
